The word chakra is Sanskrit for "wheel" or "disc". Each chakra is symbolically depicted as a lotus that has a different number of petals. The more petals the chakra has, the higher it's frequency or vibration. It's vital that we excercise, meditate, and use healing techniques that focus on balancing the Chakras, and aim to help us remove any blocks or imbalances to the natural movement of energy. It is believed that when the energy of the chakras are flowing freely and operating as an intergrated whole, we will operate at our optimum level of physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
